The Christmas Cookie Blog Carnival

by Kelly Bristow on December 7, 2011

Now that Christmas is approaching and all you can hear on the radio is “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”, it’s high time for a blog carnival. Along with fighting at the mall and wrapping presents, Christmas usually means participating in a Cookie Exchange.

avatar61599 1 The Christmas Cookie Blog Carnival For the uninitiated in the house, a Cookie Exchange is a social event that consists of baking at least 10 dozen cookies and then swapping a dozen at a time with 10 other people. At the end of the event you walk away with 10 dozen different types of cookies as well as 10 dozen cookie recipes. Sweet, huh?

But as you know, baking 120 cookies is time consuming, so that’s why we’re going virtual, baby!

The Rules

There aren’t many.

1. Share your favorite cookie recipe on your own blog,
2. place the blog carnival graphic somewhere in that post,
3. then come back here to submit your link.

The Twist

This is not your mother’s Cookie Exchange, pal. Once the blog carnival closes on Thursday, December 15, we will assemble a cookbook in a pdf file with all of the participant’s recipes plus a link back to each person’s blog.

Don’t forget to come back on Friday, December 16 to download your free cookbook!

I think this is terribly biased against people who don’t actually bake cookies or, you know, know how to turn their oven on, in general. Do Oreos count?

Oh moooooog, when will you learn that the world is full of haves and have nots?

Now if you add frosting and sprinkles to the Oreos *and* you have a funny story about it you can hop into the fray.

Total side note: A long time ago I asked you, “How do you remember how many o’s (?) to type in moooooog?”

You said, “There are six, betch. But I’m just a have not.”

So today when I was typing your name I realized I was typing those o’s to the tune of “Jingle Bells.” Must be listening to too much Christmas music.

Moooooog called you a betch? You gonna take that?

        • http://www.cardiogirl.net cardiogirl

No. Sort of. No. Not at all. Not really.

I smell a smackdown. I’d put my money Cardiogirl. You could totally take Moooooog, even with all the Karatay (said like Sandy and Spongebob) he does.
